Technical Lead Opportunity
\
We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader to oversee the technical aspects of delivery and operations commitments, producing high-quality reusable code, tests, and documentation, and collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Security, and Operations across all phases of the software lifecycle.
\
The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience in software development, preferably in a SaaS environment, and great interpersonal skills, ability to work with Product and Design counterparts, and to work collaboratively across teams.
\
This role requires attending our local office for part of the week, and the specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
\
Our hybrid way of working enables us to purposefully come together in person, at one of our many offices around the world, to connect, collaborate, and learn whilst also giving our people the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
\
Key Responsibilities
  • Be the technical leader of the team and oversee the technical aspects of delivery and operations commitments.
  • Produce high-quality reusable code, tests, and documentation.
  • Lead solution designs, help the team to make technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with EM and PM to produce technical roadmap.
  • Champion best Engineering practices and coding standards.
  • Continuously improve your own and your teammates' technical ability via mentoring, pairing, PR reviews, and feedback.
Requirements
  • 7 years of experience in software development, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Extensive experience working with Ruby on Rails.
  • Extensive experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript, DOM, and Browser APIs.
  • Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Good experience of designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Good experience with Cloud technologies/tools (AWS).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively, and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Great interpersonal skills, ability to work with Product and Design counterparts, and to work collaboratively across teams.
