Agri Finance Specialist

Evaluate and approve credit proposals to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks.

Conduct financial and non-financial analysis of borrowers including farm economics, cash flows, and collateral evaluation.

This includes assessing the overall creditworthiness of borrowers and making informed decisions that balance risk and reward.

Portfolio Management

Monitor portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals. Collaborate with business teams to maintain asset quality.

Conduct periodic reviews and stress testing of regional portfolios.

Credit Policy Implementation & Process Improvement

Implement and communicate credit policies and product guidelines across the region.

Recommend changes to credit processes based on field feedback and risk trends.

Drive digitization and automation initiatives in credit underwriting.

Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with business teams to support growth while maintaining credit discipline.

Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations for seamless credit processing.

Train and mentor LCM/ACM on credit norms and risk practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Hold an MBA/PGDM in Finance, Agriculture, or related field. Have 15-20 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in Agri or Rural Finance.

Have a strong understanding of agricultural cycles, commodities, and rural credit behavior.

Key Skills & Competencies

Exhibit analytical thinking and financial acumen.

Have knowledge of agri lending products and rural markets.

Be skilled at decision-making and problem-solving.

Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
