Job Description

The Manager – Procurement role is responsible for coordinating various purchase activities, handling negotiations as per purchase policy, making comparative statements, and maintaining proper documentation and record-keeping of all AMC, Agreement, Purchases.

This position will also be involved in making PR, Goods Receipts, maintaining MIS reports, and tracking purchases, delivery, and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential vendors/suppliers to meet business requirements.
  • Visit markets to ensure quality, quantity, and rate of purchased goods.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods as per orders placed.
  • Randomly inspect goods loaded in transporter vehicles.
  • Develop vendors, manage grievances to build and manage vendor relationships and vendor capability.
  • Act as a bridge between the company and vendors.
  • Review past performance of existing vendors/suppliers.
  • Formulate and implement new procurement strategies.
  • Manage procurement staff, internal customers, and suppliers in a coherent and effective manner.
  • Approve purchase requests raised by various teams and finalize purchase details.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Negotiate with vendors/suppliers regarding contracts, terms, and deadlines of delivery.
  • Review purchase orders ensuring goods and services are ordered correctly.
  • Develop and implement procedures to cover all activities.
  • Monitor and update on price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing in the market.
  • Monitoring and assuring timely action on approved PR's and pending Vendor Invoices.
Must-Have Requirements
  • Proficient basic English language skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and ERP software (SAP, Salesforce) programs as required to accomplish responsibilities.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors/suppliers.
