Network Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Network Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role involves working with a dynamic team of product engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki-based networks (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless).
  2. Manage and administer Palo Alto firewalls including policies, VPNs, threat prevention, and logging.
  3. Implement Azure networking solutions (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, VPN/ExpressRoute).
  4. Monitor and optimize network performance, reliability, and security across hybrid environments.
  5. Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network/security issues.
  6. Ensure compliance with security best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  7. Automate configurations and deployments where possible using scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, DevOps, IT Security) to deliver secure and efficient solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki (firewalls, switches, wireless).
  • Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, threat management).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure networking (VNETs, NSG, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN).
  • Solid understanding of network security principles, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security model and cloud-native security controls.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Azure Monitor, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
