Job Title: SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

About the Role:

The Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant is responsible for the technical analysis, design, and implementation of SAP developments, ranging from small enhancements to large projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Substantial experience with SAP ABAP and its various components.
  • Technical analysis, design, and implementation of SAP developments.
  • Good cross-functional knowledge in SD, MM, FICO, FIORI, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, especially EWM and TMS.
  • Ability to write and validate technical specifications and create test scripts.
  • Collaboration with the Business Solutions group to complete on-demand work requests and large-scale SAP cross-functional projects.
  • Staying up-to-date with SAP releases, enhancements, and new functionality.
  • Participating in all phases of the project, including requirement gathering, estimation, project planning, execution, go-live, and support.
  • Ability to resolve complex technical issues and manage critical situations independently.
  • Proven success in designing and developing SAP solutions on the SAP ECC platform.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ensuring compliance with existing and developing required data and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 8-11 years of overall SAP experience with a minimum of 2 end-to-end implementations and at least 2 support projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of Reports, RFCs, OOPS ABAP, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms, BAPI, Enhancements, BADI, Data conversions – BDC, LSMW, ALE & IDOCs.
  • Good knowledge of SAP Fiori, OData, ABAP on HANA, and Workflows.
  • Strong testing and debugging skills.
  • Ability to evaluate user requirements relative to current application functionality.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in a technical context.
  • Able to work with Business, Functional, and Technical Teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex and time-sensitive projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide alternative solutions to technical problems.
