Job Role

A seasoned data professional is required to drive automation initiatives with large datasets, develop custom validation scripts, and translate stored procedure logic into test cases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop automated testing solutions using Python or Java coding
  • Read, understand, and implement stored procedures for data-driven automation
  • Compare datasets across environments and generate comprehensive reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish structured automation practices
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a central repository of automation scripts
  • Design and implement QA strategies and test plans from scratch
  • Develop and execute test cases with a focus on Fixed Income trading workflows
  • Drive the creation of regression test suites for critical applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Provide clear and concise reporting on QA progress and metrics to stakeholders
  • Bring expertise in Financial Services Industry, particularly fixed income trading products and workflows
  • Ensure effective communication with global stakeholders
  • Independently troubleshoot complex issues on different environments
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects, coordination between teams and managing client queries
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, work in a dynamic environment while maintaining high quality standards, and develop good internal working relationships
  • Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to agreed SLA/TAT

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong programming experience in Python (preferred) or Java
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, including writing and debugging complex queries (joins, aggregations, filtering, etc.)
  • Understanding stored procedures and using them in automation
  • Experience working with data structures, large tables, and datasets
  • Comfort with data manipulation, validation, and building comparison scripts
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with PyCharm, VS Code, or IntelliJ for development and understanding of how automation integrates into CI/CD pipelines
  • Prior exposure to financial data or post-trade systems (a bonus)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of working with test management tools (e.g., X-Ray/JIRA)
  • Extremely strong organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong track record of excellent results delivered to clients
  • Able to work independently without close supervision and collaboratively as part of cross-team efforts
  • Experience with delivering projects within an agile environment
