Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled medical professional to fill the position of Senior Medical Coder.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Same-day Surgery Coding, ensuring that records are coded accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescribed standards such as ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT.
  • This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date coding records
  • Code patient charts in accordance with established coding standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet productivity and quality requirements
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide training and support to junior coders
  • Participate in regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • CPC or COC certification
  • Minimum of one year experience in Same-day Surgery coding
  • Graduation in Life Science or medical sciences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of relevant coding standards and regulations
