Job Summary:

The Digital Twin Expert at Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited plays a vital role in developing a digital replica of HVDC systems. This expert collaborates with the project organization, R&D team, and other stakeholders to create a digital twin model that accurately represents the HVDC system. The model will be utilized by customers to monitor and maintain the system during the operation and maintenance period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the project organization and R&D team to understand technical requirements and develop the digital twin model.
  • Coordinate with BIM, LIC, documentation, and training teams to receive necessary documentation and inputs.
  • Enable seamless interaction between the digital team and other teams, including R&D, IoT, Control & Protection, etc.
  • Develop expertise in reading Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and understanding item designations.
  • Upload and tag documents appropriately in the digital twin platform.
  • Convert and enhance 3D models to the applicable format and integrate them into the digital twin.
  • Fetch information from Main Circuit Diagrams and populate it on all assets.
  • Integrate connections from the digital twin to MIMS operations data.
  • Support the R&D team by serving as a user acceptance tester for new digital twin feature releases.
  • Prepare base documents for required activities.
  • Document and track progress of work.
  • Continuously improve day-to-day activities and enhance content visualization in the digital twin.
  • Perform customer onboarding, handover, and education.
  • Provide internal and external maintenance support.
  • Train team members as the team grows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in digital twin development.
  • Proficiency in digital twin software.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office: Word, Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to own tasks through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.
