Job Title: Cloud-Based Finance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cloud-based finance expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable and secure cloud-based applications, with a strong focus on personal finance and user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specs for authentication, Plaid link/exchange, webhooks, transactions list/patch, and insights refresh/list.
  • Develop SQS workers for ingestion and insights functionality.
  • Work closely with the Platform/Infra engineer to ensure security, performance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

Must-haves:
  • 5+ years of experience building Node/TypeScript backends with Postgres and a queue (SQS/Rabbit/etc.).
  • Strong grasp of idempotency, retries/backoff, cursor pagination, error design, and API performance.
  • Proven experience with secure webhooks (signature/HMAC verification) and third-party APIs.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Plaid SDK experience; LLM API usage (Gemini/OpenAI); SMS flows (SNS/Twilio).
  • Exposure to Java/Spring or Go (we may introduce JVM/Go for specific future services).
