Freelance Ship Broker

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned and skilled Freelance Ship Broker to assist us in Mumbai or Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have extensive international experience, a proven track record of effective customer relationship management, and strong business development and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locating and fixing vessels and cargoes between owners, operators, and charterers
  • Maintaining a seamless dialogue with owners and charterers
  • Drafting charter parties and fixture notes
  • Resolving any issues relating to the fixture concluded
  • Coordinating with agents post fixture desk of our own's charterers and other brokers
  • Local and international business development and fact-finding to enhance our company profile and build on existing and new relations with prospective clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum Graduate level degree with a strong command of the English language both spoken and written
  • Minimum 2 years of direct proven dry bulk chartering operations experience and the knowledge and skills relating to chartering to get going immediately without any formal training
