Job Overview :

We are seeking a proficient Automation Test Engineer with robust Java programming expertise and significant experience in developing test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes, continuous testing methodologies, and Agile/DevOps practices. This position demands a proactive individual who is quality-focused, collaborative, and possesses excellent communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities :
  • Over 5 years of experience in testing intricate workflows utilizing automation testing skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Agile methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Defect Lifecycle.
  • Proficient in Test Planning, Test Strategy, Test Case creation, and execution, including Traceability matrix.
  • Experience in identifying and creating test data by querying and retrieving from backend databases and API calls.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail) and test design tools like Hexawise.
  • Automation testing experience (UI/API) using tools such as Selenium, REST Assured, JMeter, Appium, and Cucumber for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong Java programming skills, with any shell scripting experience being an advantage, and a proven track record in developing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Proficient in using various Continuous Integration tools such as GitLab/GitHub and skilled in leveraging cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Proactively engage with the QA Manager regarding project statuses and risks while collaborating with globally distributed teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
  • Java Programming: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Design and construct robust test automation frameworks.
  • Quality Control: Supervise the end-to-end quality control process, ensuring high standards throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Continuous Testing: Implement and manage continuous testing using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
  • SQL Proficiency: Write and optimize SQL queries as part of the testing process.
  • Data Platform Experience: Experience working with data platforms is highly advantageous.

Collaboration & Communication :
  • Work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels to promote quality practices.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities :
  • Communicate effectively across all project levels to advocate for quality practices.
  • Participate in Agile/DevOps teams, understanding their concepts, ceremonies, and tools.
  • Utilize Agile frameworks such as Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Contribute to the Quality Engineering community by enhancing quality practices.
  • Implement CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins.
  • Develop code with strong debugging skills to quickly identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure systems are designed for reliability, performance, and testability.
  • Apply knowledge of design patterns and mentor others on their use.
  • Develop and debug Maven build configurations.
  • Utilize Page Object modeling for automation.
  • Implement CSS and XPath-based locators for element identification.
  • Understand the impact of localization and internationalization on web and native applications.
  • Leverage SOAP and REST services programmatically via Java.
  • Work with cloud/microservices architectures and perform integration testing with data virtualization tools.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, REST, JSON, and GIT.
  • Use IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or My Eclipse for development.

Preferred Skills :
  • Understanding of non-functional testing.
  • Experience working in Agile teams with a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages.
  • Experience with Azure services.
