About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned expert in frontend development to lead our engineering team.

This is a critical role that involves designing and implementing scalable user interface systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving project success from technical design through launch and operation.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend codebases that are fast, testable, and scalable.
  • Develop and implement robust user interface systems that meet business requirements and exceed user expectations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to identify and refine solutions to complex problems.
  • Lead code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Drive project success by overseeing technical design, implementation, and launch, as well as post-launch operation and maintenance.
  • Mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience building large-scale frontend applications.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, including bundling, linting, testing, and releasing.
  • Expertise in JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React, AngularJS, and Vue.
  • Experience designing and architecting platforms at scale, considering edge cases, observability, error handling, and integration with external systems.
  • Ability to debug complex problems across systems and repositories, and design solutions that span the entire tech stack.
  • Proficiency in modern testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, Mocha, and Chai.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Commitment to writing durable code that lasts for years, not months.
  • Experience leading medium-to-large scope software projects and mentoring junior engineers.
