Job Title: Special Educator

As a Special Educator, you will play a vital role in helping children with developmental needs achieve their full potential.

This is a freelance, contract-based role that offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. You will have the opportunity to design and deliver personalized special education sessions, focusing on building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver customized special education sessions for each child's unique needs
  • Focus on developing functional communication, basic literacy, and language skills through engaging activities
  • Support children's independence in daily living activities (ADLs), such as dressing, eating, and basic routines
  • Conduct regular assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
  • Develop creative learning tools and methods tailored to each child's age and abilities
  • Maintain detailed records of sessions and update parents and caregivers regularly
  • Collaborate with other therapists and professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
  • Respectful, non-judgmental, and family-focused approach
