Job Title: Interior- Cockpit Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior- Cockpit Engineer to lead our team in delivering high-quality interior systems and components for our vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the engineering sub-systems, ensuring cross-functional representation and input from all relevant areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or production engineering, with extensive experience in design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements. They should also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage and challenge system, sub-system, and component costs through utilization of engineering knowledge and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish, plan, and run the engineering sub-system meetings to ensure appropriate cross-functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
  • To ensure progression of design maturity from initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
  • To establish and maintain the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.
  • To ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system, and components.
  • To define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality & attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.
  • To develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supplier testing plan and ensure development sign-off tests are completed on schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and challenge system, sub-system, and component costs.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as FMEA, Agile, or Scrum.
