Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

This key role plays a vital part in our business operations, spanning across Oil & Gas, Marine, and Environmental sectors.
The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System. This position ensures compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, BIS, BPI, internal standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements across all testing and inspection activities.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and BIS requirements, as well as accreditation/approval bodies' standards.
- Monitor and ensure that the QMS is implemented in various departments, appraise management on its effectiveness, and lead quality audits (internal and external).
- Manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), register customer complaints, and resolve issues through investigation and root cause analysis.
- Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures, and testing standards.
- Conduct periodic quality checks for tests carried out in the lab using tools like retest, inter-laboratory, intra-laboratory, proficiency tests, etc.
- Control of management system documents in the lab.
- Liaison with accreditation/approval/regulatory bodies regarding compliance and approval.
- Review, approve, and issue all quality management system documents.
- Improve the management system and identify deviations from procedures for performing tests, initiating actions to prevent or minimize such deviations.
Collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure participation in PT/ILC, calibration, and maintenance of instruments.
Key Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.
Prior Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.
