Job Title: Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to work on developing and maintaining automation test frameworks for smart phones.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing Python/Perl scripts for modem or embedded device testing, as well as familiarity with multi-threading concepts and multi-threaded programming.

A good understanding of modem architecture, 3GPP spec protocols like LTE/ WCDMA/ GSM etc. is required.

About the Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the existing automation framework architecture and modem automation architecture.
  • Enhancing the testing capability of the framework as requested by end-users.
  • Collaborating with multiple tools teams to narrow-down issues reported.
  • Triage automation related issues and fix bugs reported in the framework.
  • Optimizing execution of the framework.
  • Testing bug fixes/enhancements on a live target before checking-in code.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Hands-on experience in developing Python/Perl scripts for modem or embedded device testing.
  • Familiarity with multi-threading concepts and multi-threaded programming.
  • Knowledge of modem architecture, 3GPP spec protocols like LTE/ WCDMA/ GSM etc.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or MCA.
