Key Merchandising Role

The Product Development and Production Merchandiser is a vital position that oversees the lifecycle of products from conceptualization to delivery.

This individual will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating product development from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and timely production as per design.
  • Ensuring all raw materials, job workers, and internal and external production teams are aligned for timely delivery of production.
  • Nurturing relationships with partners and vendors to drive business growth.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Developing and presenting pre-development samples to stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability.
  • Creating and managing production timelines and schedules to ensure timely delivery of retail products.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors on pricing to achieve optimal costs.
  • Managing the flow of goods, including sourcing, dispatching, and payments.
  • Implementing quality control procedures to guarantee products meet our standards and specifications.
  • Conducting regular inspections and overseeing testing of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues.
Essential Requirements
  • 4-5 years of experience in PD, buying, merchandising, and production in reputable organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories and the factory supplier base.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
