About the Role

The Corporate Action and Income Analyst is a key member of our team, responsible for the front-to-back processing of corporate action and income related processes on behalf of the bank. This includes both Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Action event types, as well as dividend and coupon processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building a strong mechanism to handle volume peaks during peak season
  • Identifying operational risks proactively and mitigating appropriately
  • Sound knowledge of Corporate Actions, Mandatory, Voluntary, Income Processing, Fixed Income, redemptions, proxy, and class action
  • Ensuring adequate back-ups are created for all critical positions and assisting other teams during contingencies
  • Working closely with process owners/stakeholders and other internal clients for overall growth of the bank's business
  • Reviewing workflows and operating procedures to ensure they remain up-to-date and implementing process improvements
  • Liaising with relevant IT teams to resolve technical issues preventing optimum performance of operational processes
  • Building process documentation, defining benchmarks, capacity models, baseline volumes, etc. for newly transitioned processes

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience in investment banking operations, custody operations, or securities operations with experience in Corporate Actions/Asset Services
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify and develop strong working relationships with internal and external client groups
  • Comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations
  • Strong English written and verbal skills required, with the ability to converse clearly with internal and external staff via telephone and written communication
  • Eye for detail
  • Experience of client-facing roles (internal and external)
  • Graduate in Commerce/Finance (Preference - Post Graduate/MBA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to work in shifts
