The role of the Program Manager is multifaceted and critical in achieving customer satisfaction through intimate relationships and flawless program delivery execution.
This involves overseeing all aspects of program delivery, including budget management, resource allocation, strategic customer engagement, and direct leadership of a team of engineers covering multiple programs with products spanning our entire product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

Performance Metrics
Launches must be flawless, with on-time delivery being paramount.
Quality and efficiency are crucial, as well as profitability and operational excellence.
Customer satisfaction and meeting annual VAVE targets are also essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, one must have over 10+ years of automotive experience, with at least 5 years of Tier1 experience within the last decade.
Additionally, 10+ years of engineering or program launch execution experience, along with 5+ years of customer-facing experience, are necessary.
Japanese language proficiency is mandatory.
Achieving consistent launches of new products in line with customer requirements is crucial.
Managing program profit and loss, negotiating scope of new business with customers, and serving as a single point of contact for customers are key responsibilities.
Leadership in delivery, resource planning, launch coordination, change control, project part tracking, and communication with customers during program launches are also important.
Identifying potential issues and coordinating mitigation actions, controlling design changes for profitability improvement, and managing cross-functional teams are other critical aspects.
Creating customer-focused strategies and value propositions, possessing fundamental product knowledge, and communicating internal program/business risks and status are essential skills.
