Job Overview

We are seeking a visionary Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering team and drive the development of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for our data engineering platform, aligning with business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize projects, define requirements, and deliver solutions.
  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using cloud services such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon SageMaker.
  • Implement data product storage, processing, and APIs using serverless architectures.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Drive governance, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Lead design reviews and technical discussions to ensure secure and scalable implementations.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, Big data and Analytics ecosystem (Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
