Telecommunications ICT Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications ICT Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technology Systems department, you will be responsible for delivering leading edge technology solutions to various clients across the following sectors: Healthcare, Commercial/Mixed Use Developments, Data Centres, Aviation, and Transport & Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and publishing telecommunications designs to support projects by undertaking detailed designs relating to ICT and telecommunications systems, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN and Wi-Fi modelling, RF systems, and technology platforms and systems.
  • Preparing reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable the tendering of works to enable a suitably qualified integrator/contractor to undertake the installation and commission of the systems and solutions.
  • Liaising with other engineers, vendors, and contractors throughout the duration of the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electronic, Computer Systems or Telecommunications or Master's degree in Information Technology (Networks).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Preferable experience in mentoring.
  • Pursuing Chartered Engineer (CEng) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in leading, producing, and checking ICT and telecommunications designs.
  • Underpinning knowledge of network design principles and significant experience working within critical environments.
  • Detailed knowledge on the design and integration of various systems and subsystems, including telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, active network design, server and SAN solutions, firewalls, and network protection systems.
