Job Title: Senior Specialist - Regulatory Business Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist to join our Global Regulatory Affairs team. As a Senior Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the broader Global Regulatory Affairs function with deriving value from data and processes. You will help design and implement AI systems that drive Global Regulatory Affairs to the cutting edge of regulatory efficiency and reporting with all the high-functioning support processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with systems and knowledge management experts in AI engineering, related technical domains, and specialized subject areas to implement and maintain GRA knowledge management & documentation systems.
  • Provide tactical support to Global Regulatory Affairs productivity-focused initiatives, including partnering with other functions outside of Global Regulatory Affairs.
  • Lead or contribute to the development and implementation of AI that can help solve efficiency and productivity problems.
  • Apply modern engineering techniques to develop decision support software prototypes.
  • Propose and execute novel, AI-enhanced decision systems.
  • Test and evaluate AI solutions against requirements and producing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on requirement analysis, data curation, and model evaluation.
  • Support the design and development of a regulatory document enrichment program, specifically Machine Learning design and implementation.
  • General systems monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical issues.
  • Create and maintain system data and documentation to support regulatory knowledge management & document management.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, Data Science, or any other relevant discipline.
  • At least 8-9 years of work experience in Machine Learning or Software Engineering.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing is must.
  • Proficiency in Python is must.
  • Familiarity with AWS SageMaker and related ecosystem considered is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Computing Services.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and skillset/aptitude to effectively manage and manipulate datasets.
  • Understanding of automation systems and databases.
  • Ability to work with defined timelines, priorities, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Perform responsibilities with a positive attitude and an ability to work autonomously.
  • Well-versed with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Training or experience in Biotech, Life, or Chemical sciences.
  • Knowledge management and/or document management certification(s) (e.g., Certified Knowledge Practitioner/CKP, Certified Knowledge Manager/CKM)
  • Proficiency in relational databases and other content management tools.
  • Change Management experience, specifically concerning user adoption of new technology and/or processes.
