Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer specializing in embedded devices to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C, C++, and experience with development frameworks such as Qt and Crank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain applications for embedded systems using C and C++.
  • Create graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for embedded devices using Qt and Crank Storyboard.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Optimize and debug applications to ensure high performance and low resource consumption on Linux, Android, and bare-metal systems.
  • Work on device drivers and hardware abstraction layers (HAL) to interface with hardware components.
  • Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure software quality through rigorous testing.
  • Integrate third-party libraries and ensure compatibility with various embedded operating systems.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers for application-related issues.
Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Qt for GUI development on embedded devices.
  • Familiarity with Crank Storyboard for building intuitive and performance-optimized user interfaces.
  • Experience working in Linux, Android, and bare-metal development environments.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, including memory management, interrupts, and concurrency.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART) and device driver development.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with multithreading and real-time embedded system development.
  • Familiarity with build systems (e.g., CMake, Yocto, Buildroot).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for embedded systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for embedded software delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
  • Prior experience with Linux, Android, and bare-metal OS.
