Project Manager

This role oversees IT Project Management, responsible for portfolio governance and project execution. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a robust PMO, unlocking business value and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning IT Portfolio processes including planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management.
  • Implementing project management standards and practices across the IT project portfolio.
  • Mentoring and supervising the project management team, ensuring performance reviews, career growth and training.
  • Creating staffing plans and making recommendations for internal and external resources.
  • Analyzing project proposals to determine timelines, funding and required processes.
  • Providing leadership and motivation to project teams throughout all phases.
  • Implementing effective project communication, including steering committee meetings and status reports.
  • Managing project risks and issues, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring alignment of project goals with business objectives and managing delivery on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in project management of complex IT projects.
  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile etc.).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Background in Business Analysis.
  • Proven experience managing an IT Portfolio or PMO.
  • Prior team leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing external vendors and contract staff.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, define schedules, allocate resources and implement processes.
