Cloud Data Architect

We are seeking a seasoned expert to spearhead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data solutions using Azure.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping data architectures, guiding teams, and ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams/regions to drive data design, identify architectural risks, and develop/refine data models and architecture frameworks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to presales efforts, including preparing RFP responses, creating solution proposals, and supporting presentations.
  • Participate in architecture and design workshops to showcase how Azure Data & AI capabilities can meet business needs.
  • Develop and test ETL components to high standards of data quality and performance as a hands-on development lead.
  • Oversee and contribute to the creation and maintenance of relevant data artifacts (data lineages, source to target mappings, high-level designs, interface agreements, etc.) in compliance with enterprise-level architecture standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science preferred).
  • Expertise in ETL, Data Architecture, and Data Modelling.
  • Experience working in Relational and Big Data platforms, including Databricks and large-scale distributed systems like Spark.
  • Expertise in Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and Reporting/Analytics concepts.
  • Knowledge of PySpark, Shell scripting, SQL, Python, and standard data science packages.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing domain.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solution Architect Expert or DP-500 and MS Fabric DP-700.

  • Leadership skills to guide teams and manage projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
