Job Overview

As a senior data analyst, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining large volumes of data in support of anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and transaction monitoring initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of advanced tools such as SQL, Tableau, and ACL, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Quality & ETL Management: Ensure end-to-end data flow and quality across systems using robust extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
  2. Data Analysis & Query Handling: Independently manage data extraction, analysis, and reporting tasks, write and optimize complex SQL/PL-SQL queries, and perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies.
  3. Reporting & Dashboarding: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, design and automate management information system (MIS) dashboards, and work on Excel-based reporting.
  4. Compliance & AML Analytics: Provide analytical support in AML transaction monitoring, STR analysis, and related compliance reports, use tools like Audit Command Language (ACL), and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure regulatory and internal risk requirements are met.
  5. Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Document analytical workflows, data lineage, and logic used for MIS/compliance reports, suggest process improvements, and automation opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • ETL & Data Quality Management: Experience with ETL tools and data quality management practices.
  • Strong Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL: Ability to write and optimize complex SQL/PL-SQL queries.
  • Database Concepts: Knowledge of database concepts, including normalization, joins, indexing, etc.
  • Tools & Technologies: Hands-on experience with ACL, Tableau, and MS Excel.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certifications in SQL, data analytics, AML/KYC, or Tableau are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in SQL-based data handling and analytics, preferably in banking/financial services or compliance-related analytics roles.
