Function/Department: Internal Audit

Job Purpose:

The role bearer has the responsibility to actively support internal audits for the bank, as assigned. This entails following the complete process, assisting in creating checklists, conducting audits as per defined timelines, publishing audit reports, and preparing for presentations to be conducted quarterly. The role bearer must adhere to the guidelines set by the bank for audit reports, making the audit process more efficient and contributing to the larger objectives of the bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Audit Manager in defining audit scope.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, and flowcharts.
  • Assist in executing the audit plan as per agreed timelines and draft audit reports.
  • Support in developing operational expertise in core areas and leveraging it in internal audits.
  • Develop and maintain professional relations with auditees.
  • Support in preparing audit committee presentations for audits held during each quarter.
  • Search for indicators of incorrect, unusual, or fraudulent tax returns.
  • Actively follow-up on compliance to the audit reports issued.
  • Document processes and prepare audit findings memorandums.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the team.
  • List the deliverables other than primary, but essential for the role.
  • Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast with global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.

    Qualifications:

    Graduation: Any Graduate

    Post-Graduation: MBA, PGDM

    Experience: 2-5 years of total experience.
