Job Title: Senior Data Modeler

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler to join our team at Talent Socio. As a Senior Data Modeler, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data models that align with our clients' architectural guidelines and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop logical data models based on the understanding of conceptual models and conduct data profiling to deliver high-quality data models and data within the limits of standards defined by our clients and the industry.

* Collaborate with the Lead Data Modeler/Architect to analyze requirements and create a clarification list, if required.

* Define data requirements based on an understanding of the same.

* Create a conceptual model based on the understanding of business processes, in collaboration with the Lead.

* Map KPIs to the conceptual model, if required.

* Validate the conceptual model with Managers, SMEs, etc.

* Create a logical model capturing the descriptions of entities, tables, columns, etc., based on the conceptual model.

* Create tables and relationships between the tables.

* Map conceptual to the logical model to ensure coverage.

* Identify entities and their properties.

* Define attributes and domain (data types).

* Create a physical model based on functional/non-functional requirements for small and simple projects.

* Seek review inputs from the Lead/Manager/Architect on the logical and physical model.

* Define the data dictionary/business glossary based on the model developed, if required.

* Define the data governance model to ensure data quality.

* Interact with SMEs (business) and architects to validate whether the data model is aligned with the technology suggested for the project.

* Interact with the Architect to gather reporting requirements and create models based on the same.

* Participate in Data Model Health Assessments.

* Assist Sr. Data Modeler in the creation of questionnaires, analyze the AS-IS data model for data structure, conformance to industry standards, and best practices, and make recommendations for solution/roadmap.

Requirements:

* Very good knowledge of Dimensional/Relation Data Modeling.

* At least 7+ years of Data Modeling experience working in large databases.

* Worked on ERWIN, DeZign, etc., modeling tools.

* Knowledge of RDBMS Concepts, Data Analysis, and good SQL knowledge.

* Should be technically strong in relational databases and able to provide design approaches.

* Prior experience in working in a large Enterprise Data Warehouse is expected.

* Experience in Banking, Health, and Life Insurance domain is preferable.

* Ability to coordinate and explain with business users to get requirements.

* Should have very good and clear communication skills.

* Should have experience of working in an Onsite-offshore model.

* Experience working in projects involving multiple time zones and onsite-offshore models and with multiple vendors.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
