Senior Application Server Developer and Technology Leader

Taken as a whole, the Software area is responsible for the development of computer programming systems and applications. This encompasses the design, coding, testing, and deployment of products and solutions to meet firm obligations.
Within this domain, we are seeking an experienced Application Server lead who can maintain and enhance Agnity Application Server. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt with new upcoming technologies like Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Readiness. They will utilize their knowledge to continuously enhance the product.
The person should have strong hands-on experience in Java and related skills for performance tuning, debugging, and optimization. A sound understanding of SIP and SS7 is mandatory.
We require the following key responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of any new technology to support application.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Performance enhancement, enhancing supportability, and generic tasks.
- Independently owning, designing, writing, and testing quality code.
Key skills include:
- Excellent Java programming skills.
- Experience in Java-based software development for enterprise applications.
- Experience in JAVA tuning tools.
- Kafka & Redis experience will be an added advantage.
- Expertise in multiple areas including JDBC Driver, Multi-Threading and concurrency, Unix and Shell scripting, and a solid understanding of basic networking protocols – TCP/IP, UDP, Protocol-SIP, Diameter, CAMEL, SS7.
- Awareness of application servers such as TOMCAT, JBOSS, and WEBSPHERE etc. will be preferred.
- Awareness of SipServlet1.1 will be preferred.
- Must be skilled in Oracle and PL/SQL.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and Maven.
- Strong experience in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate should also possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in the Java ecosystem.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
