At World Wide Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Support Engineer with specialized expertise in multicast and WAN technologies to join our dynamic and fast-paced network operations team.

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned professional to design, troubleshoot, and support large-scale multicast and WAN (BGP, L3/L2VPN, VRF) networks. This role will focus on the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of complex multicast and WAN environments to ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security for our clients.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with network operations, and service teams to provide in-depth technical support and guidance for all multicast- and WAN-related issues and implementations. This position requires a proactive problem solver with a deep understanding of multicast protocols, WAN infrastructure, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:
  • WAN Operations & Troubleshooting: Ensure network stability and performance for MPLS, VPLS, and other L2/L3 WAN services, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues.
  • Manage WAN routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, and OSPF in a VRF context for L2/L3VPN services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to test and validate multicast and WAN network designs in lab environments before production deployment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in WAN support/engineering, with a strong focus on multicast technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of multicast protocols such as PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, IGMP, and MSDP.
  • Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
