Job Description

As a Security Officer at Accor, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for hotel staff and guests, and protecting the assets of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a chain of command and responsibility, with direct reporting to the Shift Duty Security Supervisor, Assistant Operations Manager, Security Manager.
  • Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Director of Security or in their absence, the Assistant Director of Security.
  • Deploy at various duty posts, including Security Control Room Duty, Lobby Duty, Loading Bay, Patrolling or Observation Duty, Back of House, VIP Parking, or other positions where security operations will benefit.
  • Adopt a "Service Oriented" approach when discharging duties, harmonizing with the hotel's concept of hospitality.
  • Exercise flexibility to maintain a balance between effectiveness and unobstructiveness.
  • Act as a host of the hotel, welcoming arriving guests and bidding farewell to departing guests.
  • Protect hotel guests and maintain peace by monitoring undesirable elements, defusing outbreaks of violence or commotion, and gathering intelligence on their identities and activities.
  • Surveil hotel staff, ensuring they abide by House Rules and keeping track of movements of staff under investigation.
  • Cultivate informers to obtain security-related information for prevention and detection purposes.
  • Participate in special functions or operations conducted by the hotel for VVIPs, shows, etc.
  • Keep the Duty Shift Security Supervisor, Assistant Operations Manager, Assistant Director, and Director of Security informed on all security-related matters affecting the hotel and department.
  • Conduct regular and periodical checks to rectify faults, damage, etc., in areas such as perimeter defense and security CCTV equipment.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Understanding and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in a star hotel.
