Job Title: Lead/Senior Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior UI Developer will be responsible for building and implementing top-notch user interfaces using JavaScript and the Angular framework. This role requires a strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing responsive web applications using Angular, HTML, and web development tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the business to understand processes and capture requirements.
  • Analysis and design of functions, components, applications, and entire systems; across n-tier client, server, and database layers.
  • Writing efficient JavaScript code using HTML and CSS.
  • Using the latest front-end technology, creating adaptable interfaces for online apps.
  • Application implementation as part of a team or individually.
  • Robust application testing skills.
  • Status reporting both to business and technology management.
  • Maintenance and support of production applications including enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Working closely with other development teams to further strategic technology goals.
  • Acquiring business knowledge and trading system knowledge to further individual development.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in design-led application development delivering responsive web applications using Angular, HTML, web development tools.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience in developing to a mobile-first and device-agnostic philosophy.
  • Passion for using CSS preprocessors/preprocessor platforms like LESS and SASS.
  • Experience in MVC UI frameworks.
  • Should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS, etc.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Working with Design and Experience teams.
