**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Real-Time Systems Engineer Lead to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing real-time embedded software for next-generation controller products.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the development of real-time embedded software using C/C++ programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in real-time embedded software development with Intel x86/ARM/Zynq ultra-scale+ architectures-based microprocessors/controllers.
  • Strong expertise in C/C++ programming languages and low-level device drivers and application firmware development in VxWorks or Linux.
  • Experience with embedded systems board bring-up and good understanding of various boot loaders (MLO, UBOOT, GRUB).
  • Real-time experience in embedded firmware development using multi-threaded environments, preferably Windriver VxWorks or any commercially available RTOS.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Firmware development experience with Xilinx's Ultrascale FPGAs.
  • Scripting language experience, such as Python.
