A stress engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft structures. This position involves performing complex structural analysis, focusing on static, fatigue, and damage tolerance aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Update and validate finite element models (FEM) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Clean and optimize digital mock-ups (DMU) to facilitate smooth design processes.
  3. Conduct stress analysis on various materials, including composites and metals, to identify potential weaknesses.
  4. Extract loads using in-house tools provided by the organization.
  5. Utilize software packages like ISAMI, Hypermesh, and MSC Nastran/Patran for advanced analysis and simulation.
  6. Develop automation scripts and reports using Excel VBA to streamline workflows and improve data visualization.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in FEM validation and updates.
  • Experience with load extraction using in-house tools.
  • Strong understanding of stress analysis on composite and metallic materials.
  • Familiarity with software packages ISAMI, Hypermesh, and MSC Nastran/Patran.
  • Excellent programming skills in Excel VBA for automation and reporting.
