Full Stack Software Engineer for Property and Casualty Insurance Solutions

Software Engineer III Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will work on building elegant solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry's complex business domain and contribute to making our industry-leading products even better.
This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact and contribute to a complex application suite of products that generate over $500 million in revenue annually, mission-critical to 100+ enterprises serving more than a million users. Our software supports significant data volumes and heavy server load. Our platform includes a cluster-safe persistence layer, inter-application messaging architecture, an MVC Web layer, and a lot more.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively in an empowered, small, cross-functional team
- Experience working in an agile and fast-paced development environment (e.g., TDD, BDD, Agile, pair programming, etc.)
- Passion for code quality demonstrated by thorough testing
- Desire to be hands-on in designing and writing code
- Curious and motivated to constantly improve
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills, comfort level to speak their mind and defend ideas based on merit, yet humility and hunger to learn from others
- 4+ years of Software Development experience
- Proficiency in Java and good working knowledge of Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, DSA, Design Patterns
- Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Unit/Integration Testing
- Experience building secure software and knowledge of web security best-practices
- Excellent understanding of Agile development principles
- Experience building microservices on cloud service platforms (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Technical design and leadership of features from inception to release
- Technical leadership experience in mentoring less experienced engineers
- Maintaining and promoting a healthy codebase and ensuring high-quality products
- BS/MS degree (Computer Science or related field)
The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
