Job Title: MEP CAD Technician

The role of MEP CAD Technician is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drawing Preparation: Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaboration with Engineers and Designers: Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Quality Control: Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Model Updates and Clash Detection: Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • File Management: Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Project Support: Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience: Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
