A dynamic healthcare professional is sought to excel in the field of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, from preoperative assessment and education to postoperative monitoring and wound care.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients scheduled for cardiovascular or thoracic surgery, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
• Provide preoperative education to patients and their families about the surgical procedure, postoperative care, and potential risks and complications.
• Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries by providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing intraoperative equipment, and ensuring a sterile surgical environment.
• Monitor patients closely in the immediate postoperative period, assessing vital signs, monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing pain, and administering medications as prescribed.
• Perform wound care and manage surgical incisions, drains, and chest tubes, assessing wound healing, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
• Monitor cardiovascular and respiratory status closely, including ECG monitoring, arterial blood gas analysis, and oxygen saturation monitoring, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status promptly.
• Assess and manage pain in postoperative patients using pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized pain management plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families about postoperative care, medications, activity restrictions, dietary guidelines, and signs and symptoms of complications, supporting patients and families in coping with the surgical experience and promoting self-care and recovery.
