Cyber Security Engineer II

This role involves safeguarding critical business and customer data, protecting AI systems, and maintaining security compliance across cloud and SaaS environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen the overall security posture.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of Splunk Cloud Infrastructure
  • Operations of AWS Key Management Services (KMS) for encryption key lifecycle management to protect critical data within AWS environments.
  • Implementing and managing security controls, audits, and encryption to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Supporting security operations by responding to incidents, investigating threats, and remediating risks.
  • Collaborating on security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments to meet regulatory standards.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of security configurations, incidents, and remediation actions, and providing regular reports on security metrics.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience in a cyber security engineering role, enterprise technology design, deployment, and support is also required.

  • Required Skills:
  • Linux/Unix and basic scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Networking and common log formats (syslog, JSON)
  • Splunk Enterprise/Cloud administration, Splunk indexing, data normalization, and lifecycle management
  • AWS Lambda, AWS Key Management Services (KMS), CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Guard Duty
  • Experience with Terraform is a must
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), cloud security (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills

As a Cyber Security Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud technologies. You should have a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and follow-through.
