This role seeks an experienced Android Developer to join a product development team and participate in the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade software and a deep understanding of Android development challenges and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • The candidate will collaborate with the team on all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and documentation.
  • They will resolve defects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participation in discussions and decisions related to software architecture and design is expected.
Skill Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade software.
  • Strong knowledge of Java for Android and familiarity with mobile development challenges.
  • Proficient in the use of SCM tools like SVN, git, and maven, as well as an understanding of continuous integration.
  • A clear understanding of the difference between mobile product libraries, mobile applications, and client-specific extensions.
  • Understanding of distributed multi-tier infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Android API Level 14 and up is preferred.
  • Understanding of code obfuscation & encryption techniques is preferred.
  • Understanding of multimedia content delivery protocols like HLS and Progressive download is preferred.
Reporting Structure
  • Reports to the Development Manager, Product Development.
