Concrete Finisher Job Description

As a skilled Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

  • Inspecting forms to ensure they are properly constructed
  • Setting forms to the desired pitch and depth, and aligning them
  • Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using various tools
  • Molding expansion joints and edges using edging tools
  • Monitoring the curing process of concrete in different environmental conditions
  • Signaling truck drivers to position trucks for pouring concrete
  • Producing rough concrete surfaces using brooms
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
  • DIRECTING THE CASTING OF CONCRETE AND SUPERVISING LABORERS
  • MIXING CEMENT, SAND, AND WATER TO PRODUCE CONCRETE, GROUT, OR SLURRY
  • CUTTING OUT DAMAGED AREAS AND DRILLING HOLES FOR REINFORCING RODS
  • INSTALLING ANCHOR BOLTS, STEEL PLATES, AND OTHER FIXTURES IN FRESHLY POURED CONCRETE
