Senior Visual Designer

TaxBuddy aims to revolutionize tax filing in India by providing expert assistance combined with AI-driven technology. As we expand our online presence on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp, we seek a skilled social-first designer to create visually stunning content that turns complex financial topics into engaging visuals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing daily social content, including Instagram carousels, reels covers, short video graphics, YouTube thumbnails, story templates, LinkedIn creatives, and WhatsApp broadcast art.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate content briefs into clear visual narratives, data visuals, and memes that are easy to grasp and fun to share.
  • Maintain and evolve the visual system, ensuring consistent brand guidelines, typography, color, iconography, and illustration style.
  • Collaborate with the content, copy, and performance teams to align on campaign objectives and timelines.
  • Deliver high-quality output quickly, managing multiple briefs and deadlines while prioritizing accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in social design for consumer brands or media, preferably in the finance/fintech sector.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing Instagram-first work, including carousels, thumbnails, short-form graphics, and data illustrations.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator) as well as basic knowledge of After Effects and Premiere for motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with data visualization techniques and ability to turn numbers into clean, digestible graphics.
  • Excellent understanding of typography and layout fundamentals, with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects, and deliver results-oriented designs.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience designing for WhatsApp campaigns and YouTube thumbnails that drive click-through rates.
  • Familiarity with AI/automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Basic illustration skills, including simple on-brand characters/icons.
  • Understanding of Indian tax and personal finance content, as well as what drives engagement and shares.
