Job Title: DevOps Infrastructure Manager

At Western Digital, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our DevOps infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration between development and operations teams. You will play a key role in driving automation, scalability, and reliability across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of DevOps engineers to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions that support our applications and services.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Zuul, Kubernetes etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Ansible, and drive IaC to streamline deployment and enhance efficiency for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
  • Collaborate with teams to align infrastructure solutions with business objectives and security standards.
  • Evaluate and implement new DevOps tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in VMware, Cloud, Storage, Networking and operating system administration.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering continuous learning.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and uphold SRE principles.
  • Hire, onboard, and mentor team members, fostering their growth.
  • Champion Agile methodologies, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 14+ years industry experience, with 10 years in DevSecOps leadership and 4 years managing teams.
  • Strong technical skills in DevOps toolsets and workflows.
  • Extensive experience deploying and supporting engineering toolsets like Artifactory, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, scripting/programming, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Git, Subversion, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Track record of success in leading high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, customer-focused, and adept at multitasking and decision-making. Effective communication is crucial.
