Job Title: Lead Web Developer

Overview

The role of the Lead Web Developer is to design and implement robust, highly available, scalable, and secure web services. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement web services using React, Redux, GraphQL, and other relevant technologies
  • Lead technical teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Mentor junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions

Requirements

Essential Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced web developer with a strong background in designing and implementing web services. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of technical experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong experience in leading design and implementation of robust, highly available, scalable, and secure web services
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages such as React, Redux, GraphQL
  • Hands-on experience in building, deploying applications using CI & CD tools
  • Experience in cloud-based solution design, configuration, and development with any Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in messaging or event-driven systems
  • Experience with one or more of the following databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, AWS DynamoDB or other NoSQL technologies
  • Experience in Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Experience with Source Control Tools – GitHub or BitBucket
Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate will also have experience in:

  • Building large-scale distributed systems that can handle large amounts of load
  • Well-versed in caching techniques (Redis, Hazlecast, Aerospike)
  • Well-versed with feature toggle
  • Well-versed with Adobe Analytics
