Job Description

As a senior WordPress engineer at Affable Tech, you will be responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing and functional websites using WordPress.

You will conduct market research to identify user needs and website functionality, develop and manage the website back-end, including database integration using MySQL.

Additionally, you will create and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications, ensuring high performance, availability, and security of the website.

You will collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional websites, conduct regular website performance tests, and troubleshoot issues.

Furthermore, you will monitor live website performance and make necessary improvements, provide training and support to clients on website management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, proven experience as a WordPress developer, and strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Experience with code versioning tools such as Git and familiarity with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug is also required.

You should have an understanding of website architecture, design principles, and SEO best practices, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
