Job Description:

A full-time on-site role for a VLSI Chip Designer located in Kolkata, WB. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing integrated circuits (ICs) for various electronic devices.

The role requires expertise in digital and analog circuit design, simulation, and layout, along with proficiency in hardware description languages like Verilog and VHDL.

The VLSI Chip Designer will work on the testing and verification of the chips.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Design and Development:
    • Conceptualizing and designing circuits based on functional and performance requirements
    • Creating and maintaining design documentation
    • SIMULATING designs and troubleshooting issues
  • Knowledge and Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles
    • Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) like Verilog and VHDL
    • Familiarity with CAD and EDA tools for VLSI design
    • Knowledge of semiconductor physics and fabrication processes
  • Optimization:
    • Optimizing designs for power, performance, area, and cost (PPA)
  • Tools and Technologies:
    • Experience with tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys tools, and other relevant EDA tools
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills to address complex design challenges
  • Verification:
    • Understanding verification methodologies and techniques
