Atlassian Expert

As an experienced Atlassian administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence. You will work closely with senior technical management, product owners, and project managers to develop, design, and implement requirements.

• Develop and deliver service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by working smarter, providing better tools, and utilizing existing product sets effectively.
• Improve alignment of technology solutions with operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture to the organization using experience from across the Atlassian product set.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Atlassian Jira and Confluence and related add-ons.
• Provide ownership and regular updates of issues, including supporting users with best practice advice until requests have been resolved.
• Evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze, and provide solutions to simple and medium-complexity problems encountered.
• Proactively plan to assess new upcoming features on cloud and communicate to users wherever applicable.
• Adhere to security policy surrounding platform standards and provide engineering solutions as directed by the security product roadmap.
• Ensure operational requirements are matched in the delivery of services around standards and engineering, identifying when support arrangements may need to change to efficiently onboard new technology.
• Owns and manages user access permissions per security guidelines.

• Demonstrate extensive expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and supporting Jira and Confluence Cloud, alongside experience in Atlassian administration and troubleshooting.
• Show demonstrated ability in managing Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud within a professional environment.
• Acknowledge acquaintance with Agile methodologies and cloud-based project management tools.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of security policies, user management, best practices, design, usage, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Display exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-based setting.
• Show proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting for automating tasks to minimize manual workload.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI.
• Show outstanding implementation skills in managing Jira custom fields, workflow management, and developing common templates.
• Highlight considerable experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party tools.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cost optimization by identifying and substituting unnecessary plugins with cloud-native features.
