Research Economist

We are seeking a highly skilled lead researcher and policy analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research unit, you will be responsible for leading data-driven research and policy analysis projects, working closely with government and partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, econometrics, or data science, with experience in empirical research, data analysis, and publication. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into clear and actionable policy recommendations.

• Lead data-driven research and policy analysis projects, working closely with government and partners.
• Design and apply advanced econometric and statistical methods (DiD, IV, PSM, panel data models, etc.) for causal insights.
• Work with large-scale datasets (administrative, labour, GST, satellite, survey).
• Translate evidence into policy recommendations and clear outputs (reports, briefs, op-eds).

Qualifications:

• Master's/PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• Strong training in econometrics, statistics, and programming (Stata, R, or Python).
• Experience (7+ years) in empirical research, data analysis, and publication.
