Job Description

As an Environmental Risk Management Specialist, you will be working closely with the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) for activities related to environment safeguard for the Maharashtra Resilience Development Program (MRDP). Your key responsibilities include conducting Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) appraisals for project activities, developing mitigation strategies for environmental impacts from the projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and implementing environment management plans for large-scale projects
  • Experience of working on at least 2 projects funded by multilateral funding agencies
  • Infrastructure project experience preferred
  • Climate resilience or disaster risk management project experience preferred
