Senior Web Software Developer

We are looking for a seasoned software developer to lead our cross-functional development team in building innovative solutions for our global customer base.

This role will involve hands-on building of performant, scalable and secure web applications using modern single page application frameworks like Angular and React JS. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of JavaScript, its benefits and quirks, and experience building ADA and WCAG compliant web applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Hands on building of web applications.
  • - Leadership, guidance and direction on systems and web application architecture and system design.
  • - Coaching less experienced engineers.
  • - Focus on user-centered design.
  • - Spearheading design, technical and code reviews.
  • - Implementing coding standards and approaches.
  • - Promoting an Agile approach to software development and insisting on a culture of continuous integration and delivery, automation and minimizing blast radius.

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills:
  • - Strong experience in building web applications using modern single page application frameworks.
  • - Good understanding of JavaScript and its benefits and quirks.
  • - Experience building ADA and WCAG compliant web applications.
  • - Proven experience designing and developing cloud ready REST APIs using industry best practices.
  • - Good understanding of Cloud Architecture and its benefits and quirks.
  • - Good understanding of Messaging frameworks and event-based architecture and its benefits and quirks.
  • - Proficiency in Quality engineering and experience working with Quality leads to define processes and technologies.
  • - Passion for improving code quality using approaches such as unit and end to end testing.
  • - Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery and toolsets that provide this ability.
  • - Understanding of agile principles and methodologies and experience implementing and adapting them to fit the team's needs.
  • - Use and understand Git based source control systems.
