Job Description

The role of Assistant Production Manager is pivotal in driving operational excellence and ensuring efficient production planning within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams to achieve seamless production, developing and executing production plans, scheduling, and monitoring to meet targets and deadlines. Additionally, preparing and reviewing production documents for new products in line with quality assurance guidelines, overseeing the execution of approved manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures are key aspects of this role.

Furthermore, leading quality assessments, addressing customer complaints to ensure satisfaction, supervising and training production personnel, fostering a disciplined and safe working environment, managing the complete production cycle, including resource allocation, productivity, and cost control, collaborating with warehouse, quality control, and procurement teams for efficient workflow, communicating with external vendors, and managing outsourced production to ensure timely delivery are critical responsibilities.

Maintaining and monitoring inventory of raw materials and managing stock procurement, preparing and analyzing production reports, cycle times, and capacity utilization, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining operational harmony on the production floor are also essential duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of core production experience in leather accessories within an export house environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; graduates from premier institutions preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of production processes, time and action calendars (TNA), and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and people-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing fabrics, trims, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of punctuality, dedication, and a proactive approach to challenges.
